The first custom BMW was done back in 197 when a art lover by the name of Hervé Poulain called on Alexander Calder to do one of one BMW 3.0 CSL. And during that time since the BMW art Car project has gone on to feature cars from the likes of Frank Stella (1976)Roy Lichtenstein (1977), Andy Warhol (1979) Esther Mahlangu (1991) and Jeff Koons (2010).
